I don"t really like cats, but I keep this one at our shop. She is very friendly, obviously, my daughters love her. But my favorite part is she just tears up on the ground squirrels and mice. She might wear out her welcome sometime, but for now she"s welcomed. Anybody need a good mouser on loan?!?!

We had a rat terrier here for a lot of years that was the darndest thing I've ever seen for getting rats. If she and a cat saw one at the same time, she'd beat the cat to it. She'd grab'em right by the neck and shake the life right out of'em.

Glad you clarified the LOAN PART. That cat has a great hold on your daughters heart. I to am not a fancier of cats butttttttttttttt ther comes a time when we (yes ,you and I ) get to take a closer look at life's plan. Sort of humbles us huh?? Does for me. Look at your daughters eyes and the smile. The love is strong. KEEP THE CAT!!!!!! Regards LOU.

Oh my........ Brings tears to our eyes. Used to have a girl like that- over three decades ago. Haven't seen her in years. She hates the rural/conservative life. Apparently can't separate that hate from people who live it.
We have a cat, wife would like to borrow the girl.

Don't let that cat fool you. Its docile right now because your daughter is there to protect you from it.

Don't believe me? Ask your daughter to set it down and go outside and see what happens. Don't put your cell phone down in case you have to dial 9-1-1 after she walks out and closes the door. Trust me, that cats only going after mice and ground squirrels as a tune up...for you when you least expect it. Lock all of your sharp tools up and hide all of your hammers. Grin.

I piced up a feed bowl in the chicken coop today, mouse & 4 babies were exposed. The chickens made real short work of em!!

We have a 20 lb. half Siberian half tabby fellow that brings his victims home alive. He turns them loose in the house for the other cats and dogs to chase and play with. (Wife insisted on putting in a cat-window so he has easy access/egress). We have been treated to mice, voles, small rabbits, rats, birds and one time a live snake.

You say "she" when referring to the cat, so if it is indeed a female you need to keep her around and at least pet her now and then to let her know she's appreciated.
It's a known fact the females make good hunters while the males tend to be lazy (my wife claims it's the same with humans). Below is proof, this is one big lazy male that would rather play with the enemy than kill it.
