It is wonderful what boys and toys with lots of money can do.

They say every dollar invested gives a ten in return. I'm sure the rest of you guys got to the desk before me.

Just saying with all the debt, perhaps placing everything on hold for a few years could help our economy. Competition sometimes blurs our visions, this case it is with other countries that spend also.

I have to admit, I'm pretty narrow minded about this, my son when in college, had a class mate that got a job offer from NASSA at $140,000.00. She was very smart, and a very very nice young lady, but wow?????

We laughed at her when she wondered if she could do better, and she did. She was a foreign exchange student and had to pay double taxes, so they offered to pay the extra tax.

What really fries me is the amount of money spent on other things.

How many millions are spent on professional football in a complete season? What redeeming science or technologies come from that activity? Granted concussions are the big issue lately.

How about Basketball and Baseball?

Do any of these things help hunger, disease or improve society?

Don't think that double tax part for foreigners is true, although you didn't say which tax was double. State, Federal, income, property? Might be true for college tuition.

This was several years ago, and if I recal right she had to pay the tax to her country? I just do not remember, but my son would know, they were great friends. I don't think my sons wife would appreciate him calling her now. His wife likes a large buffer strip around him,,,,no exceptions to the rule, and he knows it.

The time frame probably would be 15-17 years ago. Menards is a large lumber / box store in our area. The best hackers were supposed to take a couple years to lock up the computers. She managed it in around twenty minutes.
