Finally got a call back from the dealer: He said it was a broken snap-ring in the PTO drive. He mentioned that there is a technical bulletin about the issue and upgraded parts to make the repair. So, I'm back to thinking this is a pretty darned good tractor!

I know it is winter but have you lost 2 three four weeks work.... How much down time ? Guess warranty will fix the tractor but not pay for the lost revenue. If you stay in that power line mowing be sure and keep the tractor in warranty.

Luckily, it went down only a week before we were to finish, so the *gasp* Green tractors were able to finish pretty quickly. If it had quit on some of the other sections, it would have been costly. I'm glad we are done with the cutting, I didnt know Mississippi was so danged hilly! It made for some white-knuckle driving. Next year's lines are going to the south and be flatter, although maybe wetter, may have to look into some duals.
