Greenhouse to shed?

Has anybody taken a greenhouse frame and screwed pole barn steel to it?

I see older greenhouses around here going for pennies on the dollar. I think it would make a nice little machine shed.

I've never done nor seen it, but weight-wise (glass versus pole barn steel) it should be no problem. I'm no construction expert but I've heard that uninsulated steel clad sheds develop a LOT of condensation, even to the extent that it drips down on your equipment.

That's true about the condensation... you need ventilation.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking the hoop style with the plastic, adding steel to that. Versus the glass ones with a little heavier frame.

I could look for a glass greenhouse, the hoops tend to be a lot cheaper. I would keep it ventilated for sure, probably leave one end open and large vents on the other. Basically looking for a "big" roof to keep the snow and rain off equipment.
