the rattlesnake with the pink rattler and the laughing rabbit . the geico is ok . most i just click the remote to another channel until they are off. some are just plain stupid .

I think I must have some sort of mental deficiency, or at least a short attention span. I can watch something until the first commercial comes on - then I'm done. The weather report comes on at ten minutes after the hour. I turn it on at nine after and sometimes can't even stay to see if it's going to rain.

I'm the same way with cards. I watch my wife, grandkids, and our friends having fun with a friendly card game, and I wonder how they do it.

There's something missing in my tiny pea brain.

I expect commercials are a very good reason why I get a lot of my entertainment via the Internet.

A 30 minute television show is now 22-24 minutes of program filled in with commercials to make up the difference. View old shows on Fancast or other online video offering and they give the length of each show. You can generally watch theirs with only 2-15 second commercials. I can handle that.

My favorite "serious" commercial is the one produced by Budweiser for the super bowl after 911.

It shows the Clydes pulling the wagon and ultimately they stop with the remains of the twin towers in the background. Then all the Clydes bow in unison.

Great commercial.

Much as I luv to listen to Rush Limbaugh for some reason the pig reminds me of Rush ride'n with Nancy Pelosi....

I HATE every single one of these silly commercials,i made it a point not to buy anything advertized on TV.
TV generally sucks,i got 180 channels, most times nothing worth watching anyway

I've been kinda amused by that Yamaha commercial where they're looking for a spokesman. The little cowboy with the clock, the pro wrestler, ventriloquist, the ditzy blond and the guy with the chainsaw.

i like the commercial for tractor pullings greatest crashes, wrecks and fires. its usually on about midway through NTPA tractor pulling on RFD. i like how the one 1066 puller engine blows completely off the frame. and the guy who apparently isn't belted eats the motor on his mini modified.

Apparently I have the ability to tune out commercials. Every now and then I'll laugh at or comment on a commercial I've seen for the first time. My wife or son will tell me it's been on for years.
I can tune out banner ads on websites too. I used to be a moderator on a petroliana collectibles forum. The guy that owned the forum said something to me about the advertisers. He was in complete disbelief when I told him I knew the banner ads were there because people had talked about them but I had never actually paid enough attention to them to even know who the advertisers were.
I'm pretty good at tuning out my wife too.

Old Roy;

Thanks. I don"t remember seeing that one before. Made me proud to be an American and brought a tear to my eye.

I thought the snake was funny but I probably saw it ten times before I knew what it was advertising.
A lot of commercials have turned me completly off their products but none as much as Sub-ware sandwiches and their "fot longs" fo fi dolla or the blond extending her fingers to demonstrate.
And one can always tell the worst new show by how much it's advertised.

Do you know that for every hour of channel time twenty minutes is dedicated to advertising and forty minutes for programing including ads for the cable provider?

I agree with what you're saying... I think all the commercials are giving our society ADD..Attention Deficit Disorder. I can't think of a thing I bought because I saw it advertised on tv.

geico commercial with Charlie Daniels playing the fiddle and the one Lee Emery as a head shrink who throws a box of Kleenex at the guy on the bed.

Gosh. I had an idea of what I thought might be my favorite commercial until I clicked on your link. Roy, I never saw that commecial before and am quite thankful that you posted it. That's very moving.

Thanks Roy, I sincerely appreciate it and have already passed that link on to everyone that I know, most like me probably didn't see it either. I hope that they pass it on too.

That's pretty good.

Back in the early 80's I was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX. We were just getting rid of the M-151 Vietnam era Jeeps and replacing them with CUCV's (Blazers). Me and another guy took Jeeps out onto the ranges to beat them to death since they were scrapping them. One time while bouncing around like Rat Patrol, we looked left or right, don't remember, but there was one of the first brand spanking new M-1 Abrahams tanks keeping up side by side with is, main gun pointed right at us, and that tank lifted off the ground just like we did, gun stayed right on us. They used us for siting practice from a hundred or so feet off to our side. Another Jeep, we did the same thing, but was a Cobra flying just over and behind the tree tops staying right up with us turning left or right and circling around when we did. We cut a figure 8, it cut a figure 8. We never even heard it. Just happened to look over, and there it was, using us for siting practice. Both times we waved them off, and went our way as they went there ways. Again, they were scrapping the Jeeps, so we helped.

I think it was only aired a couple times .

If you notice it has no selling value, or beer advertisement. only a silent moment of respect shown by the Budweiser people.

My hats off to them, and I honor their intentions

I loved that commercial too. I saw a special on it that said a horse trainer trained those horses to do that in just a couple of weeks. It was very moving.
I love the bungee jumping Bud light guy who takes things out of a boat and gives them to his buddies on the bridge.

modern asian car commercials ALWAYS depuict the American father figure male as Stupid and indicisive ,pensive and uneducated ,,, One MORE REASON I WILL NEVER BY A ASIAN toilet Rim car
