Guess it would have been helpful to have model numbers, at least- but the one shown looks like a 40 series, at least 30 years old, closer to 15K than 60. This has all the makins' of what we used to call a "friction fire" when I was in the fishing boat finance business- a fire caused by the mortgage rubbing up against the insurance policy.

I believe that took place in Michigan. The J.D. was not worth $60,000.00. It was a combination of the tractor,a skid steer,and other implements that added up to over 100k. The tractor was about $15,000.00-$20,000.00

I think what has happened is the clueless news reporters just took pictures of the first tractor they found on a dealers sales lot and used that for their example of a stolen tractor.
