Hello, I"ve been a long time watcher of this website and commented a few times but I finally need some help. My wife"s Grandpa gave me a 1944 John Deere Styled D to restore and we are doing it together (great memories made so far) But we need some help finding parts. As of right now we don't need a block but it sure would be nice to get one, we need the grill bars for the front of the radiator, and a hood, we could also use a new head, this one could be fixed but we are afraid its going to be out of our budget so we were hoping to find a good used one. Do you guys know of anywhere that we could find these parts? We are located in the very southeast corner of North Dakota. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Another thought is to put a post on the classified section of YT Mag for the parts you are needing. You can include that you want them within a certain distance from you, or something like that if you want as well. Bob

Thank you everybody for your help. We have a few leads from his old contacts from when he was big into restoring so we are hoping those work out. If not you can sure bet I'm going to use all you suggested. I'm sure I will have plenty of questions as the project goes on. If you look up basket case in the dictionary you will see a picture of this tractor but it has sentimental value plus the memories made with my wifes grandpa will surely be worth it. Thanks again.
