I have a catalog here that list the DLTX53, DLTX33, DLTX71 and DLTX72 all fitting the JD-A. It does not brake it down as to what year what carb fits but all of those from what this nnalert catalog says came on the JD-A at some point in time. Oh by the way the first 2 I listed cost the most as in over $500 each and the last 2 under $500

I don't find a "33" anywhere either.

By any chance did you get that number from the bottom of the fuel bowl? If so, it should be "13". That's the bowl used on a lot of carbs.

I based my previous reply on SM2024.

After seeing old's post I looked at an old Rusty Acres Ranch printout of FSB 182-S (Aug '51). It shows the DLTX-33 on Model A serial #s 491336 thru 498999 (late '47 & early '48).

If the serial # on your A fits in there, I guess you have the right carb.

I have found that catalog are a good reference for a lot of stuff. Not always as good as a person would like as in some times they get it wrong but most of the time they do help figure out what fits what like in this case
