Stafix Electric Fencer

ANyone have a stafix electric fencer that gave you problems. I unplugged mine this am to let the herd in another pature that doenst need the electric and this afternoon plugged it in and it doenst pulse. Just the red power light is on. Is it possible the lightning we had today fried it? I have a lightning divertor set up and more than long enough ground cable.. 400 feet worth It doenst have any fuses and says no servicable parts inside?

I have two buckets full of lightning damaged transformers Ive taken out of fence chargers in my shop.Import and some US built chargers dont have fuses.I find blown fuses are the only problem in many chargers.Lightning diverters do reduce strike damage but they wont eliminate it.Take the charger to a repair shop.Many chargers have tamper proof screws holding the case together.

sorry to hijack your post, but since you're the savior, I guess you'll forgive me...............

36 coupe. Do tha parmak 12 volt battery operated and 6 volt solars have fuses inside? And is it just a matter of getting past the sacred screws to change them? Is a symptom of a bad fuse that the little meter reads good but no power (shock) goes to the out terminal?

Parmak dropped the fuse in battery powered units Oct 89.These battery Parmaks have 4 hollow brass rivets holding the case together.You have a bad output transformer or a short in the fence line.
