Nice job glennster, you may have mentioned befrore, but what is the actual color? Looks diff. in a couple of the pics.

its a dark gray matallic, the owner chose the color. prolly not my choice, but he is happy with it.

What? They didn't get the 401 ci?
I've never owned one, but the Javelins, AMXs and even Gremlins were on my wish list. Supposedly, back in the late 60s, the AMC nascar heads could outflow the small block chevy heads. But then, with their wrestling mentality, I'm sure nascar would penalize anything that wasn't a Chevy.

Very nice job [b:654c4848f0]glennster[/b:654c4848f0]; you do good work!

Wonder what the "top end" is on a 430hp motor?

Let us know after you deliver the car to the owner.

Really nice looking car.

Hello gleenster,
EXCELLENT WORK! My car is ready.

I had 1 of those in 1973. The body was made too light in the rear to put air shocks on it, and yes they came with a 360 4bbl, borgwarner t10 4 speed

Had a buddy in college had a bright yellow Javelin. Nice car, I seem to recall he had the 360 in it.

Very nice car, and work there.

My nephew in his younger years almost never made any more when his decided to take out a bridge abutment. he spent a week in hospital , and I visited him the same day it happened. He knew nothing of the accident, didn't remember his wife was with him or nothing about it. Wife OK too. someone was driving with higher powers.

is that a that dozer I see in that one pic?

yup, thats a dozer. we are south west of the caterpillar plant in montgomery illinois. all day there are trucks hauling new cats past our shop. some of the wheel loaders are just absolutely huge!!! they are in pieces on 3-5 semi's. they also haul the wind turbin towers down rt 47 too. them babys are huge too!!!

glennster - Nice job on the car. BUT, it kinda looked like that last January when I came to see ya!
Spendin TOO much time at the farm?

got ya on the big wind generators ! seen a couple times trucks hauling the blades .. one at a time . Long fellers !

430HP on the dyno. Engine dyno or RWHP? Either way thats making some power.

Don't see too many AMCs anymore.

Rick

thats on the dyno at the engine shop. did all the engine break in there. motor runs pump gas, and is very street-able. we figure the car should run low 12's in street tires with no problems.

Nice power on pump gas. I think you can hit 12's. Just a matter of how well you can get the street tires to bite. Drag radials really grip, I had a pic of one of my cars with the front tires 8" off the ground running 275 drag radials.

FWIW... here's 700hp on the dyno, just engine/blower, no nitrous. Just took the blower/nitrous off cause I found a twin turbo setup. But thats going to take a little fabricating.

Let us know your ET when it gets to the track.
