Been so rainy and miserable, can't do field work but another week like this and I won't know what to do! I'll have to go out and sleep in the shed during the day so the wife thinks i'm still busy!Anyone else with the same problem?

Wow! Sure wish I had that problem!
I don't think I'll ever be done.

By the way, how do you sleep at night?

I know exactly what ya mean - course the wife can always find plenty of inside work to be done - but ya want to be outside and knocking off them chores that are all gonna hit at once when the ground finally dries. And here I sit looking at this computer instead of getting work done.

where is it wet???? 110 heat index & no rain for 5 weeks....crops & trees are dropping leaves like it's fall....MS. delta

I still have cleaning the basement out on the list! I sleep great, well except when my 11 month old daughter wakes me up, but thats okay!

Tom I know where you are coming from...I look around at all I have to do and what needs done just to find everything in a water hole. I am thinking about selling out and moving down to dixie with old where all they get is sprinkles and sunshine!

I had a little talk with the old boy upstairs the other day and told him I"ll never find enough spare time to die. Jim

Lay on the creeper, under the pickup, with your arm over the driveshaft- even from a distance, she"ll think you"re working. Be sure to remove the key first- she might need the truck!

Got the exact same problem! Only one more project to do in the shop, prepare the combine for fall harvest. That will only take a couple days, might have to go buy a new project. Beans are getting hairy and I have 125 acres of first crop hay aging. No relief in sight either, Wednesday is supposed to be sunny then more rain as far as the forecast goes. Oh well, not much I can do about it.

Hope I get to that point someday. Seems like I fix 1 thing and add 2 more to the fix it list. Never ending battle with the older equpiment, but enjoy fixing the stuff most of the time. Except for when its about to rain and the baler or something breaks.
Ryan

Yea,kinda. I should swap out the hydra power in the Oliver 1600,but I'm just waiting for haying weather,so I hate to start anything major.
