Another recall because of gas pedal problems

Guess Toyota was not the only company that had a problem with sticking throttle pedals. Saw on the news tonight another company has done a recall guess they got the same parts from the same company that sold them to Toy

Some 2007 Dodge Calibers. Problem is supposed to be mechanical, due to a out-of-spec bushing.

The Ford recall is as old as the invention of floor mats. Always keep your work area clear. It is doubly important when operating dangerous equipment like automobiles.

I'm not sure what company old is referring to but most auto mfrs are and have been using what industry has been using for years are what is called LMTs or linear motion transducers in simple terms fly by wire which in simple terms a very sensitive variable resistor that tells the main processor its location at all times that in the simplist of terms. The military has been using it for over 25 years in the most advanced aircraft. I'm not sure this is what old is referring to. It reduces the need for all that lost motion in mechanical linkage and a cost saver :-O but can cause ghost issues from time to time due to low signal interference if not shielded correctly. IMHO CT
