A few days ago we talked about the use of Duall and Command mixed together for use on pumpkin weed control. Talking to my chemical dealer today he suggested the use of "Strategy" which he said what do the same thing duall and command would do. The Strategy is also quit a bit cheaper. I was wondering if anyone has used this product for pumpkins and would know the pro's and cons between using Strategy or duall and command.

I just bought 5 gallon of strategy to use on my pumpkin patch. I am located in s w IN, am told it is what all the melon/ pumpkin growers use. I have not used it yet, just going on what was recomened by crop production services. What price was you quoted? I ended up paying $100.00 per gallon & 5 gallon min. I wont use that much in my lifetime, would be more than happy to sell some.

He said it would be 215 for 2 1/2 gallon. I live in mid Mi. If we were a little closer I would consider shareing a jug. I have a friend which we share on things like that, we do about 5 acres between us. We already have enough command for this year so we are trying to decide which way to go. I do appreciate the offer though.

Strategy is clomazone (Command) mixed with ethalfluralin (Curbit). Dual is metolachlor.

Dual is good on nutsedge (and grasses). Strategy won't even touch it, but should be decent on annual grasses and broadleaves.
