Electric AC clutch

Anyone have an idea how much torque (or horsepower) the electric clutch off an automobile air conditioner compressor can handle?

I can't specificly answer your question about
auto air conditioner clutches, but such clutch's
are also used for hydraulic pumps for snowplows
and other industrial applications, and i've seen
catalogs with dozens of different applications,
which give horsepower and torque ratings, pulley
sizes, etc. Industrial suppliers of bearings
roller chain, Vee belts, gear box's, PTO's
may have such information.

They used to say that an auto AC drew about 3-5 HP from the engine so I would have to assume that, maybe more at initial lockup.

Gleaner combines, or at least some of them, used electric clutches and handled a lot of horsepower since the entire threshing mechanism was operated by one, and the header by another one as well.
