john deere 1530

I have a 1530 john deere that I have had for about 8 years. It is a 3 cyclinder diesel about 46 hp. The tag says it was made in germany. I would like to know if it is rare or not,and about the value of it. I would like to sell it because I don t have any use for it anymore but I would hate to sell it cheap and find out that it is worth more because it may be rare.I would appreciate any info. and your views and opinions. thanks Jim

Not rare. Value is dependant on the condition of and hours on the tractor.

At this point, collector value in the Deeres pretty much ends when you add that 4th digit to the model number. 1530 is a nice utility tractor, and would probably bring $4-$5,000 in decent shape around here.

With the prices on 4000s and 4020s I would disagree that the fourth digit means there is no collector value.

(I do agree that the 1530 isn't anything special)
