We have 14 first calf hiefers. The only calves we have so far are from them. Here are a few pics. I always say that all those horrible days in the winter are worth while when the first calf is running around the farm.

Those little buggers sure are cute. We have 2 left to calf. Had 4 sets of twins this spring. Think that is the most twins we have ever had. Here is a pic of one of the sets of twins the day they were born. Don't know why the color is so lame. Thanks for the pics.

Oh Great Bill:
Daughter thinks she wants a calf: Can't keep up with the horses, pygmy goats, dogs, and sports now!
Guess we're goin to have to come out sometime and see ya.
She's pretty good about naming animals!

looks a lot different with the snow gone, how old is that cow in the foreground, first picture, at what age do you mate them??

Nice pics Bill. Waiting for my first ones of the year, got another week yet. Say, the hiefer in the first pic seems ( to me) awfully thin, what would you say she weighs? I have a red heifer that is small like that, but heavier, and I was concerned she was gonna have a hard delivery. What breeds you have there? Also, no disrespecting the heifer, just seems light to me because mine are kinda fat right now.

put a hard winter on any cow, let her calf and thats what will happen. Take a look at her and the baby in about 2 months on grass and a little supplemental feed and you wont recognise them. This is the diamond in the rough stage.

Might give Guinness World Records a call.

Four sets of twins should get a least an Honorable Mention!

Thanks for sharing your photo.
