I stopped by my brothers place today and he has 50 of these little Ayrshire right now. They each get one gallon of milk a day so that adds up. 45 of them are gals.

They are so cute . Thanks . Is he starting a dairy farm or what ? I miss being able to buy fresh milk from a farm . Its really unfair how the government can tell people what they can & can't do . We're loosing our freedom daily so American best wake up . One dairy here closed up totally & the poor farmer sold off his families land in parcels to home builders . Now instead of seeing cows & crops in the fields, I see homes being built .The farm buildings sold & is now an auto repair business .What a shame . God bless

Ken, He bought the home farm where I grew up and has been farming for many years. He has about 100 milk cows is an organic farmer and does not use any chemicals on the land. He uses rotational grazing, rotating the cows to different paddocks.

Poor guy. Doesn't realize that milking cows twice a day is gonna kill him a lot sooner than drinking non organic milk from the store would.

rrlund, He has it set up now where the couple that work for him do most of the milking. Everybody needs time off though. It is hard when you have a farm to actually completely retire unless you sell it.
As far as the organic part, he is into that but myself, I can either take it or leave it. I eat and drink what ever is on hand.
