Help;dodge 1500 wiring fire

My 2001 dodge 1500 burnt ALL the ground wires off and has a dead short.luckily an employee smelled the burning plasic and unhooked the battery. It was driven all day and performed perfect. Where should I start looking? What is a possible cause? Help needed!!

I have a dodge 1500 and had the same probleme
(smelled plastic) and now the door lock is no more working for a week.

Had a 2002 that had a recall for a/c wiring issue. Don't know if it included yours but it;s something to look at. The issue was known to cause fires.
