Is it possiable to wire a generator to the lights with no battery ? I was told that this would work . And if it would why cant a guy use LED they dont take as much power .

No. You have to have a battery.

YES it will work, they used that system on some early non battery tractors. Remember even when we were kids the little generators the bike wheels turned to provide light.

HOWEVER the light depends on RPM (the gennys output) and it isnt be all that great

For more steady (less RPM sensitive) and more relibale lighting Id use a battery if lights are really necessary
