One of my commerical mowing job customers called and told me someone already offered to do his mowing job for a couple hundred less that I do it for. The owner told me I do a good job, so I can continue his mowing. I'm glad he likes my work this is one of my bigger jobs. I guess it pays to do good work.Stan

Always someone out there wanting to undercut you. All you can do is continue to do quality work at a reasonable price and deliver what you promise. The loyal customers will stay and keep the good word out. The undercutters usually come in for a while then they leave. Good luck.

Quality work always pays off. Glad to hear you got to keep your customer. Keep up the good work and more work will come your way. There are alot of cut throaters out there.

Supply and Demand. Around here because of the economic downturn there are many homeowners that started cutting their own grass. So there is a surplus of guys with mowers and weedeaters looking for jobs.If I was having my yard cut by one of the these outfits I'd definitely get it rebid.

Over the years, I've had people tell me something similar to what he told you. But I could tell by the way they acted that they wanted me to come down on my price some. I felt that if I didn't, they would drop me somewhere down the road.

But that may not be the case with your circumstance.
