Depending on size of the container you use for parts, I use baking soda as the additive. Be careful tho.. it does make hydrogen gas, not much but it will clean just about anything. Set the charger on 10 amps or you can use a battery for the power.

You should use "washing soda" (sodium carbonate- Na2CO3). Reason for not using baking soda- NaHCO3- is that pesky hydrogen, which is very flamable. You can buy washing soda in bulk.

ditto on the washing soda.. ph+ addative for pools and hot tubs.. is 5$ at walmart.

put positive cable from bat charger to a piece of sacrificial rod.. like rebar.. set it in the water near part.. hook negative cable to part.. if no bubbles.. add more soda addative and stir. ilike a 10a charger.. though smaller chargers work.. just take longer. other positive anodes can be added and chained together to cover different sides.. just don't let the work part touch the anodes.. do this outside...
