Auction Prices Today

wow just got home from a local retirement farm auction and couldnt believe the prices.

IH 900 6rn planter $7550 dry fert, insect, trash whips, plnter was really nice.

510 IH 12' drill w/grass, $5800 was nice but is easy to find better.

Farm King 14' jump auger, usable but was dented and bent up little brought $2650

I assume the nice weather and it being about the first auction this year brought alot of people out.

Auction at Penn Yan, NY today had a JD 2520 w/ loader (offbrand) brought 11,000 dollars. JD 4250 PS, SG, w/ MFWD over 10,000 hrs, rubber poor brought 25,000 dollars. The 4010 diesel, rollamatic NF, single remote brought 5,000 dollars, a bargain by comparison.
The tractors were fairly straight but were not one owner tractors and I think only one was a second owner (JD 7610 MFWD w/ duals, under 3000 hours, brought 55,000 dollars).
I would say guys out there still have money to spend.

The auction south of Lake Crystal today musta been the cheaper fellas like me, though most things were kinda low. 26' 4900 field cultivator was barely $4000, and so on. The thing I was looking at went high of course, but otherwise thought it was on the low side of average.

Seems like the first few sales tend to go high. Look for prices to drop in the next month, especially when you start seeing 3-5 auctions a week within 50 miles or so.
I posted some pics and prices about a week ago on the Ford forum from an auction I went to... a few good buys, most stuff seemed average to high to me. Certainly higher than I expected.
2/18 sale
