I think the Green Acres tractor was a JD GP, not the larger D...just look at the size of that flyweel. Like he said some new tubes all around maybe an oil change, a little Iron Out on the seat and it ready for spring plowing. Oh, and change the plugs. Leo

Could it be the flat tires that make ya think it might be a "side-hill machine?
Well, with several years of work, 3 gallons of primer, 27 yards of sand-paper, 10 gallons of laquer thinner, and a lot of elbow grease, you might just get it to run again!
I always liked the guarantee those sellers of old equipment always give you: "Well, it ran when we parked it!" Especially if they parked it on top/side of a steep hill, from where they could coast it to get 'er running!

Oliver drove that for the first season until Ford Motor Co who sponsered the show raised h**l because Oliver wasn't driving a Ford. I believe they changed to a Fordson after that.

I remember one episode where the Hoyt Clagwell was giving trouble, and Oliver grumbled something about Haney selling him ‘this defective tractor”. Eb replied, “No Sir, the Defective has bigger front wheels.”

That looks like one of the old 500 CID D's. Might not be to hard to get running. Better have your ear plugs cause the pop loud.
