06 duramax transmission lines leaking

hi at 60000 miles i had the transmission oil cooler lines replaced they were leaking where they are crimped at the connections between each end. now at 130000 the crimped connections are leaking again cost me around $280 the first time there is nothing really wrong with the lines themselves its just where they are crimped together making them longer anybody else had this problem or know of a better fix somehow maybe recrimping them thanks. I have replaced lots of them. we stock them at work. it is seems all trans lines made like them do this after some time. think the hose srinks? you could take to someone that make hyd. hoses and have the hose replaced. just make sure they use a hose that will work with ATF and line up the metal lines good luck david

I have an early 2007 and have replaced the lines. I believe it is a common, but not cheap issue.

A buddy of mine has a yard barn move"n buisness and runs Chevy trucks. At 80,000+ miles a year he has seen alot go wrong with every truck he has had. He quit fixing the lines several years ago. He found it much cheaper to add a quart every month in the winter and they seem to stop leaking in the summer. He just sold 3 of his 07 trucks and they all had two or more sets of lines put on and they all 3 had leaked for the last 50,000+ miles.

GMC has a service bulletin that was issued on 03-18-09 with a listing of new hose and pipe part numbers. The bulletin did state the leaking was worst in cold weather. Part numbers 20759971, 20759972 and 20759973. This information was from the GM service information. Hope this helps

thanks for your input guys i think i will watch it closely and see just how bad it actually leaks befor i replace them again. unless the dealer who done it the first time will give me some kind of brake this time around but dont see that happening thanks RICK
