Other than Perkins and I am not dicounting them, who is the leading aftermarket producer of Perkins engine parts?
 
J, I have a perkins diesel in my F-250, and when I NEED STUFF, I get from Trsdewinds Perkins in

Jack: I appreciate the offer, However I am looking for parts for engines that are 50 years old and were not really sold in the USA. Also now days most of the time the first question you get is; "What is the build number?" This is years before that system was established for engine identification. I will call them Friday. I also think I still have Perkins microfische. Thanks. J.
 
Just read a thing in a magazine about a family that has a tractor rebuilding buisiness in Holland and U.S. They are called J.B. tractors Inc. And are in Mn. Givre them a call and maybe they can connect you with some one. Holler at me if you can't find their number. I think the mag is still out in the recycle barrel.
 
Didn't find much re' the P6...doesn't look that good as found a Brit outfit redoing the Admirals barge from the old Ark Royal, which had P6M's...they finally replaced with a more modern Perk as "parts too difficult to source" (they'd already appealed for anyone with P6 parts or knowledge of any to please contact them, in 2007)
Diesel Specialists (dieselpartsdirect.com) site says to contact them if you have "unusual Perk parts requests", in case you haven't tried them.
 
Another "just in case you didn't already know"...
A Cockshutt history says two postwar models, the 40D4 and the apparently low-prod Golden Eagle were fitted with L4's; perhaps a Cockshutt collector/enthusiast might know of a parts source.

Hi j Perkins have no parts left for the P3,P4,P6,L4 engines but parts are available for the later engines. 6-354, 4-203, 3-152 parts are still available from Perkins or Sparex etc. There are people here in the UK with older Perkis parts stock and i will try to find some infomation. John, don"t know if you"re still looking or how far afield you want to go, but throcktractorservice.com.au ( New South Wales) site page says they have parts for both the P6 and L4.
maybiebrothers.com was also mentioned on the AU site. Good luck.
