Home made 8 ft snow plow

Hope I don't get too many Boos. Made this blade using 8 ft 2x12 and put metal on the bottom. As you can see the snow is about 3 ft tall. I stopped to take the pic. The snow would have fallen forward and I would have kept on going. The loader is a terramite T5C which has only a 20 hp Kohler. Back tires are 8 inches wide, no chains, only 3100 pounds and it will keep up my Jubilee that has 30+ hp, chains, 12.4 in wide tires and only a 7 ft blade.

Loks good, better than the one I made for our MH Pony when I was in high school. I made enough plowing to help buy a real one the next year. Took a while back in '52 to save up the $70.

a friend of mine from W.Va. said his dad still uses an A shaped frame and pulls it behind the tractor from the house down to the road. he's only 84 yrs old and still getting it , hope I can in another 20 years.

I have one of those Terramites. They do pretty good for the size they are. I have dug out some good size stumps, dug a trench for my electric to my shed and move gravel around. Did you have your rams rebuilt? How expensive is that? Mine are starting to leak a little.

No just 2 wheel drive..positive traction. This is the only American made gasoline powered sub compact loader/backhoe on the market. To my knowledge all american parts too. If interested check out terramite T5C.

Well I have always looked at it this way. #1 if it works then that is good #2 if it is cheap and works that is even better. #3 if you like it who cares about any thing else. I know years ago we graded our drive way with a 1935 JD-B or an Allis B and pulled a large I beam behind. It worked ok but it was what we had and what we could afford at the time

I made a 10 gallon concrete ballast weight to add to the back bucket. It will lift the front wheels off the ground. Used it to lift one end of 8x10 shed with to drag it to another location in the yard. Powerful little tractor.

Looks good to me.

I did the same thing on my H Farmall to spread and smooth gravel in the farmyard.

Actually I moved the gray shed in the background to it's current location, with the front loader, home made forks and my concrete ballast.
