O.T. snow fence.

I used it one winter on a 400 foot stretch because it was cheap. I spent most of the winter tying it back together from the wind tearing it up. When it gets cold, plastic gets brittle.

The next winter I did what I should have done in the first place and bought good old wood slat snow fence. Cost more, but once it was up no repairs were needed and I reused it about five years till a shelter belt grew up to where I didn't need it.

I used some for a temporary fence while shearing sheep. Tied it to t posts with twine. Overnight we had a wind in the 30mph range. Most of the places it was tied were ripped out and the plastic on the ground. Should have put plastic on the windward side! County road commission puts up some snowfences every fall to try to protect roadways from drifting. Their plastic ones don"t usually last the winter.

As evertthing else now they make a cheap version of it, we got some we used for Tree protection on a site it turned out to be the cheap version after some 30mph winds, Had to replace about 500lf, Got some that was thicker and the web had heavier weave it lasted that job for the year.
