LP horsepower vs. gas???

Am I sacrificing much horsepower with my LP? I have a JD 60 LP. Is there anyway to get more horsepower out of the 60 LP? thanks

I think the factory numbers for those tractors had the LP models higher than gas. Maybe higher compression pistons. There is less energy in a gallon of LP so the tank needs to be filled more often.

The LP tractors use higher compression ratio heads so for the same displacement, you actually get more power. Your oil stays a lot cleaner, too

As per the NEB. test the all fuel one had 32HP the gas had 40HP and the LP had 41HP. So what are you looking for more then even LP has LOL so sorry but the LP has the most HP of all the types of fuels for that JD-60

For engines without the special higher-compression heads, HP is greatest with gas, then LP, then NG, then SG (sewer gas, which I assume is mostly methane) pe some Wauk/Roiline HP tables.
