I believe you guys mentioned in an earlier post you had outdoor wood burning boiler type heat?? Do you perchance have Central Boiler or another brand? My Central Boiler started losing water, and I am having a heck of a time finding cause. Suspect pinhole in boiler ?? Have you or anyone else on this forum been throught such ?? thanks, stan

Riverslim,
You have to ad some water as it evaporates from the boiler since they are not a sealed unit. It will depend on the water temperature on how fast it will drop. I have mine plumbed into the house water so I can just turn on a valve to fill it.
We have 2 Woodmasters. My dad has one and I the other his started losing water last year after 9 years,it was the Pex line cracked at the fitting by the pump wound up changing the lines to solve the problem. If you have the insulated PVC pipe the Pex goes through you can just change the lines. If you have what looks like the field drain tile with insulation inside you will have to dig up the whole thing and replace it.

No, mine is not a central boiler. It is made in a local welding shop about 10 miles from my place. Guy builds and sells about 20 furnaces a year. My folks had one that did lose water too, and we could never figure out where it was going. They traded it in on a new one. Kind of a quick and dirty way out, but the stove was 10 years old and they were allowed 1/2 of what they paid for it new on trade, so figured what the heck.
I hope you get yours working properly. It's nice to have heat when its below -20, like it will be here in MN tonight.
