Ford Super Dexta Questions

Hi,
I have a 1963 Super dexta, and would appreciate any information on the following : when I start it, it seems to miss for up to a minute, then it fires fine on all 3 cylinders. I had the injectors done, checked the fuel lines etc. Also, this tractor has a rest-o-ride seat on it; are there replacement rubbers available?and finaly, it has a Simms injector pump ( mechanical) that looses oil internally. Is there a seal inside that could be deformed / dried out ? if so, is this a serious job ?

Thanks a million

Ray

Ray, are you using the excess fuel button when starting your Dexta? If so,I would say that you are describing a "normal" start. As to your loss of lubricating oil in the pump, that is normal, just keep her topped up and change that oil at every engine oil change (100hrs). I believe those seat rubbers are available in the states through a jobber. I replaced my seat years ago with the hydraulic seats from TSC as an example.
