Flammable material storage

I am thinking of building, a small(8'x10') block building, with a concrete floor, and a steel door, to put my gasoline cans, case's of oil, and 5 gal buckets of hydraulic oil, and 80=90 gear oil in. How do you guys store, and protect your flammables, and stealables?

Can you get ahold of an 8'x8' sea/land container. Save you a bunch of work, money, and be portable. If you are close to a Military Community (Gaurds, Reserves, etc) you might find 1 or 2 ISU 90's that are real spiffy with doors on each side and split in the middle (don't have to dig for stuff) and come with shelves.

That's a heck of an idea Dave! One of my concerns is grass fires, and stray fireworks. The container has steel sides, and roof. It should work well, and it is lockable! My oil was slowly dissapearing, a quart at a time, so when the case ran out, I went to napa, and bought 30 wt in 5 gal cans, and got myself a replica of the old galvanized quart oil dispensers. my oil started lasting a lot longer, real pita to pour it in the can, and carry to a car! for young folks. I had to quit keeping cans of gas in the shop, and all four tractors get drained often. I reckon I'm getting paid back for what I done at 16&17.

You should be able to get anything you want through DRMO with the Ft and the AF Base so close to you. My 1st duty station was Ft Lewis and I lived for a while in a trailer park in Roy. Could look out the BR window or set outside and have an uninterupted view of Mt Rainier. Remember setting outside at 1100 PM and it still being pretty light.

Good Luck, Dave
