Well a while ago I posted about pickup dump hoists, It was that or a dump insert, I dident like the extra weight from the insert, and it made it higher to lift things into the insert, so I got the hoist. I will put it in this winter, or next spring. Was wondering if anyone has taken the bed bolts out of a 2000 or newer Ford pickup? Did they come out easy? I gotta get the bed liner out and see what it looke like. If worst comes to worst I can torch them off. Dunno! J

They should have a Torx (female) head as I recall. I think it is a Torx 50. I would suggest cleaning the underside of the truck real good with a pressure washer, or the equivalent before hand to avoid getting crud in your eyes, hair etc. After it dries, use some good penetrating oil on the bottom of the bolts. I use PB Blaster, but most anything will work if they are not rusted real bad. I think there are 8, and they do come out from the top. Hope this helps a bit.
