Ford model 7700

Ford Model # 7700

I bought this tractor a couple of weeks ago from a friend that passed away. It has 3 pairs of hydraulic couplings at the rear. One pair is hooked the front end lift & one pair to the bucket. Can I use the other pair for my shredder and how do I control the cylinder?

The 7700 will have a Load Monitor... thus the other pair should be labeled Lift and Drop. If so, they are hooked to the three point hitch and work in tandem with that. You couple an external cylinder for a plow to that pair and pull the round ASC valve in the console upwards and it should work...

I believe you need the special Load Monitor cyl from Ford, and turn the clevis so the arrows line up? Like my dealer said when we got it, 80% of the people never use it, but there it is. :)

And correct, the 7700 has 2 pairs of remotes, the 3rd set is only for special use coupled to the 3pt lever.

You don't actually need the load monitor cylinder. They did provide it with the tractor, and it does have a releif on one side when the thing is turned one way that it will bypass if the cylinder strokes out before the lift arms fully raise... but I think in reality if you use a regular cylinder and it strokes out... the arms just raise a bit faster for the remainder of their cycle. I won't swear to that since it's a LONG time since I've used one. Load monitor is essentially a useless function on the tractor...
