So get a call from fellow who purchased a few parts and had them delivered to his place 300 miles away. He chiseled me on everything including the shipping which was handled by another company entirely...I basically sold him everything at 50 cents on the dollar just to clean out the parts shelves and open the space in the shop. Well apparently the delivery company bumped his Cub tractor and bent the tie-rods a little...and he calls ME with the strong-arm threats of law enforcement...insurance etc.
Anybody have a similar situation using a third party hauler - and how did you resolve. I am planning to send him a set of used replacement tie-rods but honestly its not my fault he failed to notify the hauler and hammer it out with him.
I think I am done selling to people from CT - every single time its problem...no other state or customers give me the hassles that come from CT.
Spoke with the hauler...he charged $300 for 600miles of travel and $75 tolls..and $160 in fuel...so at least I did not get taken as hard as he did with my dealings withe "fellow".
