My cousin was killed in one of these in a mysterious accident. Anybody know anything unusual about them or flaws, like steering or tie rod ends and such. Maybe you know a recall site I could look on. Thanks. He was excellent driver.

All I know is they probably share the same sturdy platform with Chevy Blazers, and like all SUV's have a high center of gravity and atrocious handling.

they could also be a unibody crossover type vehicle like the pontiac aztech.

at any rate, if you know someone that works at a shop, they should have access to the recalls and such online thru All Data or Mitchell or any other type of service software/subscription website.

if it was newer, i'd blame the on star telemarketing. we have a few customers that have almost had accidents when their new vehicle starts talking to them without warning and all it is is onstar trying to sell a subscription.

I have read that GM uses electric over hydraulic on some of their steering systems-it allows them to control amount of reaction to speed being driven (poorly stated, I know). I have also read that sometimes these systems quit and you have NO steering control. Greg
