Henry Ferguson Tractor

We have a Henry Ferguson tractor with a petrol motor and a name plate number TEA 15890 stamped 7652. Can someone one please tell us its age?

Henry is Harrys great, great, great, uncle twice removed. Henry is the one that started the family in the tractor business back in the days of the Roman Empire. The 100,000th Henry tractor was a gift to George Washington and he used a belt pulley winch to tow his boat across the Delaware. Your tractor was made in 1492 AD

The fellow made a simple typo. You should be more polite and answer his questiom. I hope that he does not think that all Americans are total A$$e$

That tractor dates to the early 50s.TEA refers to tractors made in America. TEO refers to tractors built overseas.

D.K.S.

There is an unwritten rule that you must be at least 6 years old to post, so go play with your toys and let the grown people talk. By the way, does D.K.S. mean "Don't Know S---?"

Try to overlook the American humor,sometimes it goes too far. He is known in USA as Harry Ferguson who developed the hydrolic three point lift,and partnered with Henry Ford to build tractors with three point hitches.

TE = Tractor England

TO = Tractor Overseas [ie US build]

TE-20 & TO-20 were the original Ferguson models rated at 20HP. The later T0-35 & FE-35 were 35HP.
The US models had Continental gas engines, the British models had Standard Motor Company engines which were either all gas or gas start & vapourising oil.
The first British built TE-20 used Continental gas engines.

Go to the left of the page under Research & Info and click on the Serial Number tab and then follow through. You can find the year via the TEA-15890 serial number. You have a TEA-20 with the Standard engine.

British built TE-20 serial number for 1947
start #316 finish #20894

The models with Continental engines are TE-20
" Stanard " TEA-20

The TEA-20 with Standard Motor Company engines were introduced on 26th January 1948, but the tractors fitted with Continental engines were produced for several months afterwards to use up stocks of engines imported from the US
