OT Passing of DeLynn Kale

Some on here may have known DeLynn.

Services were held today for DeLynn Kale,65, of Richwood, Ohio. DeLynn was a schoolmate of mine. He was a very successful tractor puller in the Diesel super stock with his IH tractor "Ride the Lightning" and was Ohio State points champion many times. DeLynn also owned "Kale Marketing" near Richwood, Ohio and was very successful with his lines of application and harvesting equipment. He was also very active in community services promoting FFA, 4-H and Young Farmers and also an avid hunter.
He will be missed by his friends, family and community.

I knew of Delyn but I thought he pulled Olivers used to watch him at the Marion County Dragway when they held the NTPA pulls. They had a lot of great pulls up there. Are you related to Edsel Dotson? He used to pull I think farm modifieds. Sorry to hear about Delyn's passing he was a great competitor. There were a lot of great competitors up that way. There was a fellow by the name of Chamberlin who pulled an Oliver 1800 with an Allison V-12 pretty awsesome!

Yes, I am Edsel's brother.
DeLynn pulled Olivers several years ago. We were competitors in the old field stock class in the 70's. I pulled a Case 700 with good results.
De Lynn had been pulling IH tractors for several years now. He still has the Oliver Field stocker, but don't know about the super stocker. Was at his viewing last night and they has the Oliver and his latest IH on display.
Tractor pulled at the Enderle pulloff at Urbana,Ohio on the 19th and blew the engine. Sad for his last few days. The turnout for the viewing was unbelievable. Held in the gymnasium of the church with a line out the door till after viewing hours were over... Gene

Edsel retired from pulling about 5 years ago. Was pulling a Minneapolis UB in the OSATPA circuit. His son Kevin and he won the state championship every year in the 6500 and 7500 pound classes. Cronkleton brothers from West Mansfield own the tractor now... Gene
