OT:Take time to reflect today...

Yesterday a co-worker failed show up for work. Calls throughout the day lead to the discovery that he had died sometime during the weekend. He was only 44. One of the nicest guys, good worker, not a gossip or backstabber, always up beat. I guess my point is to take the time to reflect on the day, our lives and the good people around us because you never know. I feel a little better
 
Sounds like he was one of a few good men in the world today and will be missed by all who knew him like yourself.Prayer's sent to his family and friends in this time of an untimely passing.
 
You are so right. No one knows how much time they are granted on this earth. Some of us get "wake up" calls and learn to take the time to drink in the joys life can bring, some of us don't.

Ditto on the prayers for this man's family.
 
Boy , you guys aren't kidding . I laid down in bed last night ( Tuesday ) and started reading the paper. There on the second page was a picture and obituary of a girl that I had a college class with back in the spring of 2006 . She was only 29 and a very pretty girl and dead from suicide . She had one kid , married and one more semester of college still left. Younger than me by at least five years . But on the good side, one of her friends that was in class with us who I also became friends with she and I finally found each other again on the internet and started talking and become friends again. Ironic ,though, we finally started talking ( emailing ) the day before she died . So I guess that it's a case of " lose a friend , gain another friend " or when God closes a door , He opens a window as the old saying goes .
