2010 trans oil power steering oil

what oil does it take to change the tranmission power steering and brakes I know its 9 gals to do a complete change but what type beside the dealer oil is there another brand less costly

SUCK IT UP AND PAY FOR IT. I BOUGHT "THE CHEAPER BRAND" ONCE........AND RUINED THE BRAKES ON MY JOHN DEERE. DEERE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING, AND I'LL ADMIT THEY CHARGE FOR IT., SPEND THE MONEY. IN THE LONG RUN YOU'LL BE A HAPPIER CAMPER.

I had a 2010 once and I don't recall it having wet brakes. Brakes were repaired immediately after I bought it and no mention was made of wet brakes. As to transmission oil which also works the power steering, I used tractor hydraulic fluid, whatever the book called for. The big issue on 2010 hydraulics is cleaning or replacing the hydraulic oil filter. It is a steel mesh filter and is located on the right side of the tranmission housing as you face the front of the tractor, under the seat. It can be washed out a few times but eventually a new filter is needed. If you just bought the tractor and the hydraulics are working ok, washing out and blowing out with compressed air may be enough.

The power steering works off the hydraulic and there is a priority valve which gives the power steering precedence over other hydraulic functions.

Good luck.
