mower deck shut off

I have a JD 425 and was wondering if there is a way to stop the mower from turning off when tractor is put in reverse?

Pull up on the button that engages the mover deck before you start backwards. That keeps it engaged. You pull it out to engage the mower deck and just before you back up pull up on it. It will go back to the normal mowing position when you go forward. I think some of them once you start backwards you can release the button.
