preserving implement trl. deck

I have used used crankcase oil to protect the deck of my implement trailer. But I look like Hell when I get to a tractor show after crawling around hooking up chains and tighteners.

What do you guys use?

Thompsons water seal

Thompsons water sealer. I spray it on with a pump up garden sprayer.

I use the Olympic wood prervative. Its thick like linseed oil and I think has some in it. Spray it on. Its not watery like Thompsons which seems to only last a few wweeks.

I use crankcase oil.when I know the trailer won't be going anywhere for a long time. Needs it right now.

save the crankcase waste oil for the recycler and keep our drinking water clean..

try an asphalt based fence paint..it's fairly inert once cured.. and is tough stuff.
