Creek bottoms finally got dry enough to cut hay. Still had a few wet spots, but I went ahead laid down about 12 or 13 acres today. Now IF the spotty showers and thunderstorms will hold off until Sunday night, I'll have it made. I'm gonna hit it with the tedder in morning first thing, then maybe agian tomorrow night. I'd like to rake midday Saturday and bale Saturday evening, but realistically probably won't be able to rake until Saturday evening/Sunday morning, then bale Sunday afternoon. Anybody else baling this weekend, especially in Kentucky?? Hopefully the weather holds...

I started baling dry hay yesterday. What a day, had all 3 balers go down at one time. First time that has ever happened. Also lost a rake gear box and a turbo off a tractor. To top it off I started the day putting on a ps pump, lol. I took the quick fix for the one that needed a piece welded and got back to running today. If everything holds together I should finish tomorrow or Saturday. Rolled 88 before lunch today, didnt get but 17 after but put a bunch more in the windrow, and I took off 3 hours to spend time with my kid.
