2090 2096 case tractors

I have seen a lot of the 2090-2096 tractors for sale lately. Usually being in the 14k-24k range with 4-6 k hours. Is there anything that typically goes wrong with these tractors at this amount of hours. Im looking for a tractor this size, and this is about my price range. Just seems weird all of them have the same amount of hours when they are traded. Thanks for all your comments

My dad has 2094. I have not heard any typical failures. It has internal breaks and we replaced the "pads" at around 5k. 4k to 6k is kind of a broad range. I wouldn't expect to find many tractors from the mid 80s with less than 4k. 6k is about when people trade...unless they plan on keeping forever...just my opinion.

That 5.9 isn't really a Cummins. It is a CDC or Consolidated Diesel Corportaion engine which was a joint venture between Case and Cummins.

Either way, it was a good engine and a mizer on fuel. Didn't lug (pull up from low rpms) like the Case 504 (which is no surprise). My 2096 was the best tractor we ever had in two generations on this farm.
