air-conditioning fan running

Do you have to keep the air-conditioning fan running in order to turn the power humidifier on? I have a Lennox power humidifier model WP2-18. I have noticed that whenever I turn off the air-conditioning fan, the humidifier doesnot work. How are these two things tied together? Do I have to keep the fan running for the humidifier to be operational.

Believe it or not, other than noise, it is recommended the fan run 24/7 year round.

On most newer systems the humidifier control wiring is tied into the ignition circuit, therfore only running when the heat is on. As far as the fan running 24/7 ,its more of a personal choice. In some homes it helps, in others not so much.

Hello brendy,
Humidity is introduced into the heating system. Humidity is removed during the air condition season. Your air conditioner is a dehumidifier, so the water system is for the heater only for winter season when the heater will make the air dry.
