Prayer request for a long time friend...

Our long time friend, neighbor, and landlord Bob has been hospitalized. He has had deteriorating health for the last couple of years, slowly retiring from his farming and renting land to us. He has battled prostate cancer, which has come back, and now has some heart problems and pneumonia as well.

I know that cancer, heart trouble, and pneumonia doesn't have a good outlook for an elderly person... prayers would be greatly appreciated, this man has been like a grandfather to me as I never had the chance to spend time with my own.

Please pray for Bob and his family.

Prayers from Indiana are on the way. Prostate cancer is troublesome that's for sure. I had it myself, but through a series of 40 radiation treatments I'm completely clean now. Returning pc is more of a problem but a lot of medical people say that for older men, a benign wait and see approach is better for most. Please pass on my best wishes.

Sure thing......... Now that joe spoke up and spread some of his freshly swallowed wisdom, the rest of the folks will probably pass their thoughts along also since they know who to talk to now.

Thank you all for your prayers so far, Bob and I really appreciate it.

I spoke with Bob last night, he sounded tired but said that the doctors knew what was wrong and had a plan for recovery. It sounds like he may be on oxygen for quite some time and perhaps a CPAP machine for sleep apnea (I think that's what it's called?)... He was tired so we didn't talk long.
