3000 Ford clutch

I posted this on the Ford sight, but thought I would try here also.Putting dual stage clutch in & did not notice if the dampner springs went towards the flywheel or towards the trans.Thanks.

I looked this up in a service manual just now. There is nothing about the clutch disc having dampening springs in the text or in a the pictures. Instructions are as follows. on Dual clutch models. Position disc with full circle lining (not pad type disc) with long hub rearward toward transmission. For dual clutch models with ceramic button type disc install disc with long hub forward toward flywheel.
