I have a Farmall 140, that had been sitting a long time. I overhauled the engine, had the Zenith carb. rebuilt completely. Now that I'm trying to start it, gas just pours out the bottom of the carb.and it will not start. Anyone with any ideas? The tractor is getting fire, and if I shoot a little starting fluid in the carb it will start up. It just pours gas out the bottom of the carb. I need help. Do I need to just buy another carb for it?

Tap on the side of the carb to see if a jiggle will seat the needle.
See if there is strong suction at the air intake by putting your hand over it while cranking. A intake manifold leak will also cause the symptom. JimN

You can buy a carb, or clean the one you have, it has plugged up passages. A new kit, a overnight soak in full submurge carb cleaner, blow out all passages, reassemble, and it will run. JimN

Hey. I just bought a brand new carb for my 140. I tried cranking it, same thing. Gas pouring out the bottom of the carb. Have you had any success fixing yours? Thanks.
