Snow in Edmonton Canada

Hi Guys
When would you normally expect the winter snow to clear from the ground in the Edmonton area? I know you cannot be precise about these things but an idea of which month would be useful.

Well..... I've never been to Edmonton. You should contact the Canadian authorities for weather history....but...I can tell you this much. I've spent a lot of time at Fort Drum, New York (near Watertown), somewhat south (latitudinally speaking) of Edmonton, and they lay claim to having seen seen snow every month of the year. Cheers.
 
It is 7 C. in Edmonton right now (I'm not from there either, but have been there lots of times). I would imagine you'd have to look pretty hard to find a snow bank now. It is still freezing at nights there though, but that will soon change. Latitude doesn't mean much as far as weather goes:especially in Alberta. It COULD snow there in May, but it wouldn't be around long. Now Calgary on the other hand is further south but much closer to the mountains. There you can need heat and air conditioning in the same day.
 
Late March or early April.

Expecting a chance of flurries here (Ontario) overnight tonight but nothing on the ground for a while
 
I live in the area and snow is pretty well gone by early April. Can get a storm with snow anytime up till mid May but does not stay due to temperture conditions. Our winter/spring is late this year as farmers try and get into the fields that last week of April.
By the way; Edmonton, Alberta is in Western Canada and north of the State of Montana. It is also the western part of the true Praires.
 
I live in Edmonton. There's still a few places with snow in the ditch but a week ago there was still a lot of snow in shaded areas. They're calling for snow tomorrow though and a high of only +1C. Edmonton has more temperature extremes than Calgary. In Feb. we went up to +13 and a few days later were around -35. It has been known to snow in late May as well. The general rule is no seeding until the May long weekend. Generally early April the snow is mostly gone. Dave
