Kubota bean planter combo

Thought everyone would get a kick out of our soybean planting setup. I know everyone around here is. There aren"t too many big ones around here and you sure don"t see anyone out in the field with one except for me. We used an old rear fold Kinze for the last few years, but work on this one this winter. We made the folding bar out of a row cultivator with some "add ons". Hope it works, never seen a planter like this one around here. I know the neighbors will be talking. I think I can do 30-40 acres without refilling, that will be nice.

mid NW IN. We're on our 5th small one in 20 plus years in our business. We have a 5740 HST now. Wow is it nice. I put about 2000 hrs on them in 4 yrs and trade. I bought this 125 to use in our business and light farming. It works great and was $20k less than a JD. Seems to work well so far.

A lot of the toolbar is filled with concrete and it's dang heavy. We also work the ground in front of the planter. We actually double cropped beans last summer with it through wheat stubble and it wasn't too bad. Working the soil will help.

I'm green with envy. Please let us know how it works out. You're right about that tractor. To get a JD at anywhere near the same price I have to strip it down to nothing. That thing has all the bells and whistles although my dealer has one on the yard now with rear spinouts.

Glad to see another big Kubota going in the field. Yours looks to be a M125X. Three years ago I bought a M105X and use it for mostly loader work on the farm, feeding large round bales, grinding feed, etc., not much field work with it although it sure could handle it. I just love the tractor for loader work especially the tranny they put in it.
