Can anyone tell me where I could buy some grade5 9/16 bolts 10" long ??? Every place I go only go 6" long or they say use threaded rod. I want bolts.

Have you tried Fastenal? They should have them. Hal
PS: If they don't have them call A&A Bolt & Screw at 410-697-8831. You can fax them at 410-687-0071

If you do end up having to go with threaded rod buy the B-7 grade it is much stronger then regular threaded rod.

I shopped around some places that have come up with offbeat stuff for me before and the longest I can find, fine or coarse thread, is 8"..

What are ya tryin' to bolt up?

Nobody is going to like this, but John Deere uses the most 9/16 of anyone and has the best selection I have found.

You might try your local CAT dealer. I don't have my book with me to look for you but they do carry alot of odd and long length bolts in their One Safe Source book. Worst case use a piece of threaded rod and weld a nut on it for the hex. Good luck.

McMastercarr.com shows up to 8" long for 9/16 bolts. Might not be able to find any that are 10"long.

What's the purpose of the bolt? Could you go with either 1/2" or 5/8"? Both of those sizes go to 10" and longer yet in book. Just not 9/16- it's an awfully odd size to stock in the first place, much less to be 10" long.
